WHERE WE ARE
The rentrooms "Al Cardinal" is inside the city walls, in a very central location.
By car: The center of the city is a limited traffic area, and is preferable to enter on foot within the walls. There are however possibility of parking by payment within and outside it walls.To park inside the walls, arriving from the motorway A11 Firenze-Pisa North (BLUE LINE), or from Viareggio by the A12, (RED LINE), you must follow the (ORANGE LINE) and enter the city from Porta S. Anna.
Coming from Bretella A11-A12" Viareggio/Lucca, exit at Lucca. Continue the indications for the center of the city, pass over the highway, and turn to right in Viale Luporini. After 1 km arrive to Piazzale Italia (recognizable from Fontana), continue and turnon the left at the roundabout.Now you will have Walls on your right, continue along Viale Giosuè Carducci, the first "porta" is "Porta S.Anna" through which you can enter within walls. Continue the indications for parking by payment within the door.
If preferred to park outside of the Walls, you must instead follow the (GREEN LINE) till the parking "Carducci" which is in the same avenue.
By train: if ariving by train to Lucca, you will have a 10minute walk: leaving the station, "Viale Regina Margherita", turn o the left, along the walls. After 200 mt.,enter in "Porta S.Pietro", follow into via Carrara and via S.Girolamo to Piazza Napoleone.From there go to via Beccheria, than turn right in via Roma; after 20 meters turn again right at "Corte dell'Angelo".Turn right again into the small square at "Al Cardinale" at number 13.
By air: the near international airport is Pisa, at approximately 20 km. arrive to Lucca by train or car, in little less than half an hour.
